If you happen to be reading this blog, please support the Anti-War movements in your community. I wouldn't go as far as getting arrested or anything like that, but we have to speak up or else! Also, support music artists that believe in Peace.

Lenny Kravitz "We Want Peace" song at http://www.rockthevote.org./.

Meshell Ndegeocello's at http://www.maverick.com/meshell/med/forgiveness&love.mp3

Rapper Paris "What Would You Do?" song it has a message. Listen to it at http://www.daveyd.com/paristrack.mp3.

Support the Dixie Chicks for Speaking Up and Saying what they Know is Right.

And countless others supporting the Peace Movement around the World. - Two fingers up! Peace.

Excerpts from my email to President Bush on March 18th (the day before he started the War):
Dear Mr. President,

This peace mission for Iraq is wrong. What will happen to our children in the United States? Will they always have to live in fear? Will the government have the upper-hand on what what we do, what we say, and how we feel? I hope that you rethink your stance. If you truly believe that all Americans and people around the world want this War, you are wrong. Whatever happened to the victims of September 11, 2001? What you plan to do in Iraq is virtually the same thing -- kill civilians for your cause. Will we ever find the Weapons for Mass Destruction when there's Destruction? What about the American people? If you plan to feed, cloth, and provide medicine to the Iraqi people what about taking care of home first? There are thousands of people that do not have health insurance and you plan to overlook the issue all to gather? If so, it is Wrong.

Were you listening and paying attention in your History class at Yale? When you read about the History of the World did you think that you would become a dictator? Probably not, but most leaders never thought much about it. They just did what they wanted, whether people were happy with it or not. I think you are not making a Hasty Decision that effects millions of people throughout the world.

Please let go of your EGO and listen to what people are telling you. I was a former military veteran and many of my friends are still in the military. What about them and their families? Are you going to be happy to see body-bags arriving on your door step? I think not. Me neither. That is why, I am pleading with you to reconsider your idea about War. It is Wrong for you, Wrong for me, and Wrong for the world to have to live in fear forever.

Sincerely,

Concerned American

Here's their reply:
Thank you for emailing President Bush. Your ideas and comments are very
important to him.

For up-to-date information about the President and his policies, please check
the White House web site at www.whitehouse.gov.

Unfortunately, because of the large volume of email received, the President
cannot personally respond to each message. However, the White House staff
considers and reports citizen ideas and concerns.

Again, thank you for your email. Your interest in the work of President Bush
and his administration is appreciated.

Sincerely,

Spring is here...Well, maybe not yet because it's going to be 48 degrees tonight, but anyway. The thing I like about Austin its Beautiful Blue Sky. It sort of reminds me of that Willie Nelson song, "Blue Sky smiling at me nothing, but blue skies do I see." Country music is not my favorite type of music, but I really like that song. I was listening to the radio today and I heard that the Texas Star and Rodeo are coming to town. I've never been to a Rodeo before. Maybe, I should check it out since I plan to move out of Texas soon...
